My office was founded in 2002, built personally by a high school friend & I. I think you will find that the environment is very relaxing & tranquil, as well as comforting to give you a place to seek treatment without the cold clinical setting that usually feels so impersonal!
After working at a high volume practice seeing 30 to 80 patients a day, I opted to work at a slower pace, taking time to work more thouroughly with each client. High volume practices survive on costly advertising and seeing patients in 5 minute intervals requiring high frequency visits, which I find to be impossible & troublesome for patients to follow. Often this leads to burn out and lack of results. Besides that, as a professional, I went to school too long and have learned too much about the human body to treat my life's work as a business more than as a passion.
By taking time to analyze each patient with range of motion, trigger point therapy, and PNF (resistance) stretches, as well as motion palpation(feeling the joint throughout its motion), during each visit helps pinpoint more specifically the cause of why you are having pain and discomfort. It reduces the quantity of visits as well as helps in allowing you to understand your needs by pinpointing the specific issue. After our findings you are more able to stretch and strengthen at home if you should choose to take an active part in recovery and maintenance of your own health!
We have been in our community for over 6 years now, and would like to thank all of you who have contributed to the success of our practice. We have been an active part of the community by participating in local events, sponsoring bowling, and softball teams, supporting local youth sports including youth hockey, soccer, and football, local charities & benefits including AIDS Walks, Breast cancer, Leader Dogs for the Blind, local library funding, as well as doing pro bono work for local families in need of treatment during these hard times while struggling without health care coverage.
Our goal has always been to become that small town doctors office that will always be there for you. Over the years, many of you have become as much a part of my family, as I have become a part of yours. I am always in awe of seeing grandparents, parents, children, and eventually the children of children. To see people grow up, and to see people become more aware of their own bodies, in these pharmaceutical times, to learn to work and overcome afflictions that they never thought possible. It is the greatest compliment when you refer the people in your life that matter most to you to our office. It is a humbling experience to be told that Mr. or Mrs. Smith thinks the world of you, and has been pushing me for months to give you a try! As much as I may be able to do for you, I have gotten as much over the years from my patients as they have gotten from me!
The scare tactics used by media, along with pharmaceutical companies, that push people into making convenient choices with complete ignorance on side affects, because most of these pills have not been in existence long enough to see long term affects. We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for at times, and for whatever God we honor, he/she has given us all the tools to be a self-sufficient being! Life is about struggle & growth & mind over matter, and that which does not kill us only makes us stronger!
